Alternative sources of energy need to be developed because of limited fossil materials. One of the alternative energy is chemical energy. Chemical energy produced by chemical reactions. This study aims to develop energy from the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to drive the prototype car. Hydrogen peroxide is decomposed by using a catalyst of iron (III) chloride and producing air and oxygen. The oxygen gas from the reaction collected in the vessel then will be utilized to drive the pneumatic cylinder on the prototype car. The volume of hydrogen peroxide in the cylinder is evaluated against mileage in no-load as well as with-load conditions. The result shows that the volume of hydrogen peroxide required 61,64ml in volume to travel 25m distance of prototype car under no-load condition. Furthermore, to travel the equal distance with 10% and 20% load of prototype car mass, it needs 61,7ml and 62,58ml respectively.
