The aim of this research is to find out the vibration system of the tray dryer that close to the resonance state to make the charcoal briquette jump so that will increase the drying effectiveness of the tray dryer. Vibration that occur in tray dryer caused by rotational unbalance due to the excitation from eccentric mass that rotating along with shaft which connected to the electric motor causing the oscilation motion of the tray dryer, so it can be called as a vibration system with forced vibration with one degree of freedom. Charcoal briquettes are generally dried under the sunlight or by using a dryer. The drying process of charcoal briquettes will result in uneven drying resulting because of the charcoal briquettes are stick with other charcoal briquettes or with the cabinet, so that the drying air does not affect the entire surface of charcoal briquettes. Therefore charcoal briquettes need to be flipped during the drying process so that the entire surface is exposed to the dryer air. To facilitate and accelerate the process of flipping the charcoal briquettes, then on the dryer is added a vibrating system that functions to jump and flip charcoal briquettes without the need to flip it manually. After analyzing the dryer vibration system, the result shows that the vibration system that produces vibration close to the resonance state is obtained under the conditions of a 10kg charcoal briquette load, the overall load (dryer tray construction load and charcoal briquette load, M) is 45,5 kg, eccentric mass (m) 0,3 kg, with eccentricity(e) 0,0535 m, motor rotation (n) 200 rpm, and the value of resonance amplitude (MX/me) is 2,561723.
