The work system in the recycle sandcore line at PT X includes heating, weighing, and mixing of sand with chemicals. The problem faced by PT is the long cycle time of recycle sandcore, which is 15.447 seconds, impact low line efficiency which is 65%. The length of the cycle time is caused by the waiting time of heating sand for 14,400 sec and the material handling distance in the sand weighing process is 63 m. This is due to the long set up time, as well as the movement that does not fit the movement's economy at the time of pouring chemicals. The objective of the study is reducing cycle time and improving line efficiency. Improvement step is done by 4M + 1E analysis method, build heating machine, weighting process with heavy sensor, and automatization on chemical pouring process. With these improvements, the material handling distance of the weighing process becomes 0 seconds, the heating time becomes 1.020 seconds, reduce cycle time to 2.181 seconds.
