There are 2 cement making process, wet process and dry process. The cement making process at PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk uses dry process. The process of making the cement will be through the process of initial burning (preheater) to burning (rotary kiln). Kiln inlet is a place that connects or places the entry of material from preheater to kiln. In the inlet kiln there is a material coating on the inlet kiln wall. The water blaster becomes a solution to reduce the coatings that occur on the inlet wall of the kiln by firing the pressurized air on the inlet kiln wall. However, with the previous amount of water blaster still cause a lot of blobs on the wall of the inlet kiln. If this clumps fall out will produce clinker products with poor quality or not standard, thus causing the kiln to stop operating. The cost of the initial kiln kiln process is not cheap, the required cost is almost 200 to 300 million rupiah, depending on the amount of fuel spent to reach the appropriate temperature. The solution to this problem is to increase the number and change the location of the blaster water on the inlet wall of the kiln. The method that will be done is by performing analysis and modification of the condition base condition monitoring ie thermography analysis. This modification is done by thermography analysis to determine the location of the blaster water in accordance with the current conditions. After the analysis is done and its location is determined, it is directly applied and done. The results of the modifications are re-analyzed and the results show no signs of trouble, normal surface temperature, neither too hot nor too cold. For 3 months after the modification was done, there was no problem of material lumps (coating) that fell on the inlet kiln that culminate in the kiln operation stopped.
